I worked on a trailer for Giant Software for their award winning Farming Simulator franchise. The following images are all from a 25 second long CG piece that promoted the launch of their latest mobile game. The combine model and textures were provided by Giant, everything else (environment, lighting, surfacing and rendering) is my work.
The following video is a sequence of all shots I completed for the main trailer. All layout and animation done in Cinema 4D, lit and rendered using Octane Render.
And here are a range of work in progress images and renders from the duration of my time on the project.
The combine was integrated into a full scale wheat field and had to look convincing. The following is a piece of RnD work I did to prove out whether I could achieve this and get buy-in from the client. This uses C4D hair and is rendered using Octane. The wheat stalks that get left behind the blades are generated using X-Particles.
Here are some still shots from the Octane Live rendering - low sampling so you will see noise in places. You may notice in the viewport stats that these frames take 4 seconds on average to resolve at Full HD resolution!!!
